Tranquility of Winter

Winter is stern – and desolate. Winter possesses a burn to the touch uniquely its own. For so bold is its cold that we dare not tarry too long in its midst. Yet when we resist the propensity to evade its icy hold, winter’s harsh countenance lets a recurrent smile slip.

Within these moments, a silent majesty unfurls. Bask in its vast stillness and depths of solitude. For herein resides one of winter’s many mysteries. What some perceive as a frozen plain is actually the icy domain of tranquility where nary a disturbance stirs. Amidst the hush, we find ourselves again. Embrace the quietude and sense of renewal that it exudes. The heart and mind will thank you for it!
